Lately

It’s been a while I know. Hello! This is a little of what we have been up to lately. The silly season has certainly kept us busy.

Signs of Summer

In our home we are all sun worshippers. We feel uplifted by bright natural light and a little down when days are grey. I love the feel of a warm almost summer breeze and they way sunshine makes the ocean sparkly. The other signs that excite me for our southern summer are the arrival of tropical fruits like mango and stone fruit like peaches. I put them in everything from salads to breakfast. 

 

We need rain soooo badly but there are some flowers in my garden that are thriving. The frangipanni’s are almost in full bloom and our summer posie seeds are flowering now too. Aren’t fresh flowers ace? I think so.

 

What do you love about summer? Saltwater? BBQ’s with friends? Fancy fizzy drinks with lime and mint? The smell of sunscreen? Icy watermelon? Beach-combing? (more on this another time) – I love it all. And more.
